| GDC Billawar organizes seminar on ‘Scope of Sericulture’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BILLAWAR, Dec 15: Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with Deptt of Zoology and IQAC of GDC Billawar organized state level seminar on ‘Scope of Sericulture’ to aware the students how to start rearing of silk worms and how to generate alternate employment today. The chief guest of the program was Prof Anita Jamwal, Principal GDC Billawar.
The Principal in her inaugural address threw a light on the scope of Sericulture in particular environment and also stressed upon the involvement of the youth in Sericulture as this one of the best alternative source of employment. She also appreciated the role of Convener Red Ribbon Club and his team for organizing this seminar. Prof Lekh Raj, coordinator IQAC also delivered a very beautiful lecture on the scope of Sericulture. Dr. Shamim Ahmed Bandey, Coordinator Red Ribbon Club delivered a key note address and also presented welcome address. Others who were present in the seminar were Prof Parshotam, Dr Mohd Maqueem, Dr Kulbir Singh, Dr Suram, Prof Anil, Dr Rajni, Dr Rahul and students of the college. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Pinky and Dr Mohd Maqueem presented vote of thanks. |
