| GCW Parade organizes lecture-cum-interactive session | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 15: Bringing the students out of their daily routine of staying at home, Dogri Department of GCW Parade Ground Jammu took an initiative and organized an offline interactive session of the students of the department with the HOD of Department of Dogri & Dean (Arts), University of Jammu Dr. Shivdev Singh Manhas in the college e-classroom today.
The whole programme was held under guidance of Principal Dr. SP Saraswat whereas the Convener, Coordinator and Director of the whole programme was National Yuva Sahitya Akademi Awardee & HOD Dogri Department, Prof. Ganga Sharma.
In this interactive session, Dr. Shivdev Singh Manhas spoke on the topic "Scope of the Dogri Language in the present time" and told the students about each and every aspect and field where the scope of Dogri Language lies.
While addressing the students, he mentioned that Dogri Department of GCW Parade Ground Jammu attained the distinction of becoming the first Department and thereby College to celebrate an event like ‘Raade’ for the revival of the Dogra culture. He too showered the praise and blessings over the HOD Dogri Department of the college Prof. Ganga Sharma.
After his address, he personally interacted with the students and evaluated their project files which they have prepared for the practical work done by them during the one month long workshop regarding the Duggar cultural event ‘Raade’.
He praised the work done by the Prof. Ganga Sharma and all her students and motivated all of them to continue these kind of innovative works in the future.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof Ganga Sharma and finally by Principal GCW, Parade Ground Jammu, Dr SP Sarswat.
