| Vinay Gupta highlights Modi government’s direct benefit to people | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 15: Emphasizing pro-poor measures taken by the Modi government, BJP Jammu District President Vinay Kumar Gupta today said that crores of people had become "lakhpatis" by the virtue of becoming owners of houses constructed under welfare schemes even as he attacked the previous regimes of disobeying the civic infrastructure in J&K.
Addressing a meeting, Gupta underscored the accomplishments by BJP in the Jammu district and lambasted Congress. He said areas like building quality houses for the poor were a low priority for the earlier regimes but the situation changed after the BJP came to power in the centre. “There was a time when it took years to construct dwellings for the poor and even then the quality of such houses remained questionable,” he added. |
