| GHS Maira Mandrian renamed as Shaheed Nb/Sub Bansi Lal Sharma | | |  Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Dec 15: The Jammu district administration on Tuesday renamed Government High School, Maira Mandrian as Shaheed Nb/Sub Bansi Lal Government High School Maira Mandrian. The renaming ceremony was today organized in the school premises in which Suresh Sharma DDC Maira Mandrian was the chief guest.
Ramesh Chander ADDC Jammu, Major Bhawani Singh 11Gr and Sushma Devi BDC Maira Mandrian were the special guests of the occasion. Tehsildar Maira Mandrian Mamta Sudershan presented the welcome note and gave a pen image of the martyr, his achievements and the story of his martyrdom.
The ADDC said that the renaming of schools is a token of gratitude and to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives fighting for the country. He said the country is celebrating 75th Year of Independence as ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ and renaming the schools, roads after martyrs or other renowned personalities will be an effort to remember and honor their valued contribution made for the country. |
