GDC Doongi organizes cleanliness drive

RAJOURI, Dec 16: As a part of a series of programmes held to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, a cleanliness drive under the project Clean India was organized by the NSS unit of Shaheed Ghanisham Govt. Degree College Doongi.
NSS volunteers of the college collected all the litter from the bawli, water bodies and the adjoining area of the village Sasalkote (Doongi).
Prof. Zaheer Abass Zia, the NSS Programme Officer of the college conveys the message of cleanliness to the general public of the area by practically cleaning the main water-well and asked the local shopkeepers to not throw the wreckage into water bodies.
He further asked for their cooperation at a larger level to keep the surroundings neat and clean and so the environment.
Most of the students of the college participated in the drive and also raised the slogans of Clean India Green India while performing the task of cleaning the well.
Sapna Sharma HOD Hindi, Iqbal Rasool Department of Education, Dr. Ashyana Kosser HOD Urdu, Robina Kosser HOD Sociology were also present on this occasion.
