Trekking Programme flagged off | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 16: The Department of Youth Services & Sports has initiated Trekking Programme for students at Zonal Level under the active leadership of Director, Youth Services & Sports, Gazanfar Ali, & under the supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma. In this context, a 5-day long Trekking Programme organized by Zone Gandhi Nagar at Surinsar was flagged off today by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary from Khel Goan, Nagrota. During the five days trekking programme 112 students (Boys & Girls) drawn from various institutions of zone Gandhi Nagar are taking part in said programme under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Chander Kanta. The students will cover the famous Surinsar trek and some adjoining treks of the locality. In the end ZPEO Gandhi Nagar Chander Kanta proposed words of appreciation, and thanks the chief guest for his valuable support and extolling the staff for making their sincere efforts in making this programme a great success. The ZPEO Gandhi Nagar along with her team mate are given special instructions to the students to follow safety norms during the Tekking Programme in this pandemic Covid-19 and also said that students are really excited for adventure trips which are organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports and this leads to boost positive energy in students related to sports. This will promote the confidence of students.
