12/16/2021 10:14:29 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Dec 16: The leaders of Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit have demanded an apology to the people by Jugal Kishore, the Lok Sabha member from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency for speaking lies in the biggest temple of democracy, regarding the Jammu Metro project. The Shiv Sainiks under the leadership of the party state president Manish Sahni accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of crossing all limits of lying.
In a statement issued to media here today, Sahni said that while speaking in the Lok Sabha the other day, the Member of Parliament from Jammu Poonch region by stating that the Metro project from Jammu to Bari Brahamana is almost complete. He said the people of Jammu have been taken by surprise on hearing this blatant lie from their representative in the Parliament. Taking a dig at the BJP he said that it seems that in the Saffron party the disciples are now overtaking their Guru in the art of telling lies.
Sahni said that the Union Finance Minister, who visited Jammu recently, had said in his speech that the work of Light Metro would start in Jammu in 2022. At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has also announced in many of his programmes that the work on Light Metro for Jammu will start in 2022 and just a few days ago, the DPR related to the Metro project was submitted to the Central Government. Then how come the project from Jammu to Bari Brahamana can be near to completion.
He said that the BJP MP must clarify as to whether his statement was a slip of tongue or else he was conducting some experiment of lying on development in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A. On this occasion president mehila wing Meenakshi Chibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, Vice President Balwant Singh, President Youth Wing Binny Mahajan, Rajesh Handa, Ashwani Prabhakar and many others were present.
