| Councillor Amit's resolution on development of religious places passed | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 16: Councillor Amit Gupta's resolution regarding the development of all the religious places including temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches within the limits of Jammu Municipal Corporation under Smart City Project was passed unanimously in the General House meeting of the Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Amit Gupta said that Jammu City is known as the City of Temples and most of the tourism in J&K is religious tourism. So temples and other religious places should also be developed under the Smart City Project.
Keeping this in mind, in the 14th General House meeting on Saturday, a resolution was moved by him stating that "Temples, gurudwaras and other religious places should also be developed under the Smart City Project." The resolution was passed unanimously by the House for which Amit Gupta thanked the House as it was a decision for the welfare of the future generations and also for the promotion of tourism in Jammu.
The members of religious committees thanked the Councillor Amit Gupta for taking up this initiative for the development of religious places. |
