| Training-cum-awareness programme on soil health held | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 16: Sub-Division Marh Zone Pouni Chak organized a training-cum-awareness program on soil health under Bhumi Poshan Abhiyaan Scheme at Panchayat Ghar Bhadrore which was inaugurated by Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Marh Dr Ashwani Kumar Jojra. Concerned PRIs along with large number of farmers attended the training programme.
AEO Pouni Chak Dr. Tirath Singh welcomed the participants and briefed them about the measures to be taken for maintenance of Soil Health. Lectures were delivered by the experts about the methods and importance of Soil Sampling & its testing for optimum use of manures & fertilizers during the training program. Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Jammu Dr. Jojra interacted with the field staff and advised them to address the farmers issues on priority with mission mode. He also sensitized the farmers for adoption of Good Agricultural Practices for saving input costs and maintaining Soil fertility. Other officers present on the occasion included Dr. Suman Koul and Dr. Madhu Rani. |
