Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: Massive demonstrations were held by LIC employees in LIC offices of Jammu & Kashmir against privatization of public sector banks who are on two days strike 16-17 December 2021. The demonstrations were held under the banner of Northern Zone Insurance Employees' Association Srinagar Division and led by Com. Pawan Gupta Divisional Secretary and Com. A.M Tantray, President of the Association. Speaking on the occasion at D.O Cell Jammu, Com. Pawan Gupta lambasted the NDA Government for its anti people, anti workers, anti farmers policies. He strongly opposed the privatization of public sector banks as the banks has earned an operating profit of Rs/197334/crore for last financial year and contributed a lot in the national development by mobilizing savings of the people. He said that such privatization is not in the interest of the nation, bank employees and customers, adding that see the reward being given to the bank employees, who worked day and night during demonetization, in the form of privatization.
