Mission Youth: DC Doda asks Mentor Secretaries to know their role for achieving desired objectives

DODA, Dec 16: District Development Commissioner, Doda Vikas Sharma today asked Mentor Secretaries for Youth Clubs established under Mission Youth program to understand their mandate for successful implementation of the innovative imitative of the Government.
The DDC was chairing the meeting of the Mentors Secretaries to review their performance.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to the number of interactions held between Youth Clubs and their Mentors, number of individuals identified for availing the benefits under "Berozgar Se Swarozgar" program, conducting of awareness programs, besides other important aspects of the initiative for its successful implementation.
The DDC asked the Mentor Secretaries to understand their mandate in letter and spirit and hold regular interaction with the youth to understand their requirements/ issues so that the district level initiative shall bear the fruits.
Moreover, the DDC asked them to conduct regular awareness programs in the Panchayats in coordination with the respective departments and Youth Clubs. He asked them to ensure the sponsorship of minimum five cases from each Panchayat under self employment schemes.
Further, the DDC directed the AD Employment to devise a format indicating the fortnight performance of each mentor and highlighting the key indicators, including number of interactive sessions held with Youth Clubs/ Banks/ line departments besides other important aspects.
Meanwhile the OSD Mission Youth Anoop Sharma apprised the meeting about various schemes and guidelines notified under the program. He highlighted the guidelines for the implementation of initiatives and the monitoring mechanism.
With regard to the coverage of maximum unemployed under self employment schemes across the district, the DDC directed the concerned to pool their efforts to ensure maximum coverage.
The DDC informed them that this is the top priority of the LG Administration and all line departments especially dealing with self employment schemes shall work tirelessly to achieve the targets.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda, GM DIC, ACD Doda, LBM, CHO, CAO, besides other officials of various departments.
