GLDM Degree College Organize Cleanliness Drive

JAMMU, Dec 18: In continuation to the series of programmes organized to celebrate Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav NSS Unit of GLDM Degree College Hiranagar organized a cleanliness drive under the project clean India.
Officiating Principal And Coordinator IQAC Prof. Sujat Khan deliberated that Clean India mission is an initiative not only to do these cleanliness drives but to aware people about the cleanliness of the surroundings and how we can live a healthy life under the healthy environment. He further appriciated the Program Officer of NSS Prof. Rakesh Sharma for taking these initiatives time to time.
while addressing the volunteers he said that we should follow the motto of NSS Not Me But You and Volunteers should Whole heartedly devoted themselves to the service of people as well as nation.
Where as Prof. Gurdyal HoD Geography and Senior faculty during his address the volunteers said that we should implement this clean India mission in True spirit and should organize more events to spread the awareness among masses about the clean, Green and Healthy India.
The NSS volunteers visited Dev Sthaan athar village Jandi (Hiranagar) And collect all the litter especially the plastic bags and also cleaned all the step-well(Baavalee) water bodies and along side area also.
After completing this drive Prof. Rakesh Sharma boost the morale of Volunteers by appreciating their efforts and dedication they showed during the drive.
Prof. Meena Devi And Prof Mukesh Kumar accompanied the NSS Volunteers and also interacted with the people who live around the Dev Sathaan, make them aware about the benefits of keeping the natural water bodies clean.
