| Padma Sachdev Govt PG College for Women organises webinar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 18: Department of Computer Applications, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. P.G College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu, in collaboration with IQAC organised a seminar on cyber crime awareness under the series of "Cyber Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas."
The program was held under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Sangita Nagari.
In her welcome address, the Principal congratulated the organizing committee for organising the webinar on the most relevant topic in this digital age. Further she stressed upon the students to participate actively in these types of activities which will lead to their overall development.
Ravi Sharma, Associate Banking Executive Scale I officer of J&K Bank, was the keynote speaker. In his talk he deliberated on e-payment and the risks associated with it. He discussed the right and secure use of cards and other electronic payment systems 'in our day to day life.'
Several queries of the students on e-payment and online frauds were also answered by the speaker.
The staff and students of the college actively participated in the webinar. A total of 83 students attended the webinar through virtual platform.
The event was organised by the committee constituted for Cyber Jaagrokta (Awareness) Diwas which includes Prof. Rohit Gupta (Nodal Officer), members viz. Prof. Ambica Kumari, Prof. Mamta Kundal, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Prof. Rajinder Kumar and Prof. Poonam. The moderation of the event was done by Prof. Rohit Gupta and Prof. Ambica Kumari delivered the vote of thanks. The technical support for the event was provided by the Department of Computer Applications. |
