Middle School Rehari holds Media & Community Mobilization program

JAMMU, Dec 18: On the directions of Chief Education Officer Jammu Suraj Singh Rathore program on the subject "Media and Community Mobilization" for the consecutive third day was held at Govt. Middle School Rehari under the chairmanship of Zonal Education Officer Jammu Haneef Mohd. Hackla under the banner of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA.
The Hon'ble Corporators Arun Khanna Ward No 25, Rekha Mahas Ward No 62, Rajinder Singh Jamwal Ward No 39, Surinder Singh Ward No 29, Anu Bali Ward No 24 , Veenu Khanna State Body Member JKUT, Principals GHSS Rehari, and GHSS Sareal Mtm Tahira Parveen Shawl and Sapna Suri, all VEC, SMC/SMDC members, and all HOI's from PS to HSS attended the program.
The main agenda of the program was to highlight the different interventions under SAMAGRA SHIKSHA and other initiatives held then and now of school Education Department in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Zonal Education Officer spoke in detail about the different initiatives and schemes launched by the School Education Department of JKUT and the different components which includes RTE entitlement including uniforms, textbooks, DBT in favor of each and every student, Gender and Equity, inclusive education, universal access including infrastructure development and retention, bringing social and gender gaps, support for ECCE vocational education and enrollment of students with the help of local community members viz VEC members, SMC/SMDC, distribution of dry rice and books at the doorsteps of every child, online Education to the students right from 1st to class 12th as per the guidelines of Government from time to time, spreading awareness about the NEP 2020 among the community members and implementation of other Centrally Sponsored Schemes. He also asked the Hon'ble Corporators to mobilize the local community members of their wards to enroll their children in the Government Schools as the Government has taken an initiative to meet out all the requirements including DBT in favor of these children studying in these schools in a transparent manner. Moreover, the SED has also taken a great initiative to open kindergartens in all Government Schools by the end of 31st March 2022.
