Woman's death triggers protest in Jammu | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: The family members of a 23-year-old woman, who was found dead on Friday night in Miran Sahib village of Jammu, on Saturday staged a protest alleging that she was murdered by her in-laws for dowry. The deceased, identified as Kajal Devi, was found dead at her in-laws house in Miran Sahib area here on the city outskirts. The family members, relatives and locals on Saturday morning staged the protest outside Police Station Miran Sahib and also blocked the road. The protestors demanded arrest of deceased's in-laws alleging that she has been murdered. "We have detained five persons on the allegations levelled by the family members and they are being questioned as part of investigation," Sultan Mirza, Station House Officer, Police Station Miran Sahib said. The police officer said that the body has been shifted to the hospital for the post-mortem to be conducted by the Board of Doctors.
