BJP committed to developing important religious places: Sat Sharma | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: Former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporators Sanjay Baru and Neelam Nargotra started works for up-gradation of Cremation ground (Shamshan Ghat) at Durga Nagar area of Talab Tillo. Terming it as an important aspect of development, Sharma started the works in the presence of Mandal President Keshav Chopra, District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, JMC officials, local residents, and political activists of the area. The works will be done at an estimated cost of Rupees 40 lakhs and the funds were allotted to the Corporators. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the condition of the cremation ground was not up to the mark and many people also complained about the same. So, keeping in view the interests of the public and place being of utmost importance for society, the works had to be taken up. He said Former Union Minister Chaman Lal Gupta and he himself contributed for the development of the same during their tenure but there were some pending works which are now being taken up and it should be our priority to develop such places as number of people visit such places daily and every assistance should be provided at such spots for the public, he added. He also lauded the efforts of Corporators for taking up further works of the cremation ground. Sanjay Baru said that steps are being constantly taken for the development of such places and he assured the people that development will continue in full swing in all spheres. He also lauded the efforts of the Former MLA for developing places holding religious importance. Neelam Nargotra hoped that the work will be paced up and all the problems confronted by the people at the crematorium will get addressed very soon. Keshav and Rajesh highlighted the works done by the Former MLA for the welfare of the public of Talab Tillo. Jaideep Sambyal, Ashok Wazir, Dewan Shah, Rakesh Duggal, Jugal Kishore, Rakesh Sharma, Jangjeet Singh, Rajesh Thakur, and several others were also present. |
