JAMMU, Dec 18: Two J&K Girls Bn. NCC, GDC R.S Pura in coordination with Eco Club of the college organized a cleanliness drive in Gandhi Park, R.S. Pura as part of the 'Clean India Programme', under the aegis of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav'.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Sunil Uppal, Principal of the college, and supervision of Lt. Shaveta Chowdhary (NCC ANO) and Prof. Shifali Abrol, Convener, Eco Club. 25 cadets participated in the drive and picked up paper and plastic waste from the park. They also interacted with the general public present there and spread awareness regarding the Clean India Programme started by the Government of India and also sensitized them about effective ways of waste management. |
