Plantation drive organized by Environmental Club of Dogra College of Education | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: Environmental Club of Dogra College of Education organized plantation drive in the premises of Dogra Educational Complex on 17th of December 2021 wherein 50 students of B.Ed. course, session 2020-22, teaching & non-teaching staff were participated and planted 50 saplings. On this occasion Jyoti Raina, Lecturer Environmental Science of Dogra College of Education highlighted the importance of such plantation which plays an important role in rural as well as urban areas. She said that it is not only the duty of single person but for all to put efforts in order to make our surroundings neat & clean not only for the present but for the future also. Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra college of Education motivated the students to take earnest steps towards making the environment a better place to live in and also appreciated the efforts of students to this drive successful. On this occasion Dr. Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator of Dogra College of Education also encouraged the students for participation in such type of events which is already a part of the curriculum also. The drive involved various aboriginal saplings having medicinal and aesthetic value. It was rather an attempt to educate the student to create and maintain pollution free environment. During the drive students of environment club planted the saplings and ensure to save the ecosystem. Thus the drive concluded with motivational spirit among the students. |
