Gupta flays Govt over not addressing PDD' employees demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 19: Former MLC and senior Congress leader Subash Gupta reacted strongly against the UT government for not addressing the genuine demands raised by employees of the PDD department. He said that we also support their genuine demands and strongly condemned the UT government for neglecting their demands. 'People of Jammu and Kashmir are unhappy with the style of working of the government. Employees have been in agitation for two days and their demands are genuine and should be considered urgently so as to provide them relief.", said Gupta. Criticizing the government, Subash Gupta said the Government is not at all concerned about the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. They have again and again highlighted their grievances and projected their demands and have also gone on Strike/boycotted their work unless their demands are accepted. The government should immediately intervene and provide them relief. The negligence of the BJP government is causing great unrest among people. The public is badly suffering due to power failure. There is a complete blackout without electricity in all most all parts of Jammu including Hiranagar Kathua due to the inaction of the government for not addressing the genuine demands of the employees. "We appeal to the JK UT Government to immediately initiate talks with the PDD employees and accept their genuine demands regarding their salary and also address their other grievances," Gupta said. |
