Calling Army administration’s biggest failure: Omar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19: As troops take charge of some of the grid stations across the Jammu region, this decision of the administration evoked strong reacting not only from power employees but also from politicians. “The Army has been called to operate the power infrastructure in Jammu division of J&K. There no bigger admission of failure for a civilian administration than to call upon the army, it means a total breakdown of governance has been accepted by the J&K government”, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted. Meanwhile, J&K Power Employees Coordination Committee convenor Sachin Tickoo appealed to all employees of the power development department to peacefully hand over all grid stations to the Army. “Let the administration take help from the Army to operate grid stations. No power employee will participate in any operation”, Tickoo said in a video message. |
