Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 19: Jammu Kashmir Teacher/ Master Association (JKTMA) held an emergency meeting under the chairmanship of state President Rakesh Singh and General Secretary Vivek Gupta in which all the District Presidents and Executive Members of the Association were present.
The meeting was aimed to project various issues of the Teaching community, the most important of which is release of the Transfer list of Teachers under ATD -2021 of Pending District including the Inter-district transfer list. Singh while giving his statement has urged Principal secretary BK Singh to personally intervene in the matter to release the list of Pending District under his supervision as some CEOs are reluctant to release the final list after seeing the situation of CEO Kishtwar and CEO Rajouri after the issue of final ATD-2021 of their respective districts. Association also strongly objected against such tough action against CEO Kishtwar and CEO Rajouri only for the reason that they have published the final ATD-2021 list which is not a good sign for the Education department and such tough action against such high officers of the Education Department may paralyze the free and fair functioning of Education department at various levels. State General Secretary Vivek Gupta appealed to Director School Education Jammu to strongly direct all DDOs to release the first installment of GPF of NPS Teachers as many DDOs have not released the same till now. Vikram Gupta State Vice President said that the annual GPF statement of the Teaching community should be issued through respective pay centers in order to avoid unnecessary harassment of Teachers and urged Principal Secretary B.K Singh that there should be the rule that annual increment of DDOs should be released only after they gave a declaration that they have issued Annual GPF statement to all their subordinate staff. Singh highly appreciated the initiative of the rationalization process but at the same time suggested that there should be the rationalization of posts instead of Teachers and also fill vacant posts of lectures through 100 percent DPC on one time basis as per the decision of SAC. Association also reiterated it's demand to modify Circular no 10-Edu of 2021 Dated 21/09/2021 and reconsider the cut of date as of 21/09/2021 instead of 30/12/2020 for granting prior facto permission of Distance Education.
