Higher Secondary School Kilhothran named after Shaheed Captain Sanjay Arya

GANDOH, Dec 19: Higher Secondary School Kilhotran, with a history of producing many renowned personalities, was today named after Shaheed Captain Sanjay Arya. Captain Sanjay Arya, a resident of village Sivli and the son of the soil, attained martyrdom for the country in 2004.
Renaming ceremony of the institution as Captain Sanjay Arya Memorial Higher Secondary School Kilotaran, was held in the presence of parents of Shaheed Sanjay Arya, who came all the way from Jammu to be part of the historic occasion.
District Development Council Doda chairman, Dhananter Singh Kotwal; DDC Councilor, Nadeem Sharif Niaz; BDC President Changa, Mohammad Abbas Rather; Sarpanch Mahatam Singh Kotwal; Sarpanch Safkat Rather, panches and the local people were also present.
The program was organized under the supervision of Brijesh Katal, Principal of the Higher Secondary School Kilotaran. He warmly welcomed all the guests and parents of Sanjay Arya. Pradeep Kotwal Arya, escort teacher also played an important role in making the event successful .
The arrangements for the event were made by the Gandoh administration led by SDM Ashfaq Ahmad Khanday. Tehsildar Irshad Ahmed Sheikh and SHO Gandoh Vikram Singh were also associated with the organising of this program.
On the occasion, the parents of Sanjay Arya, with moist eyes, expressed gratitude to the government for honouring the martyrs. They wished to put up a statue of their martyr son in the Higher Secondary School in the coming days, and hoped for the cooperation of the administration in this regard.
On the occasion, the SDM Gandoh remembered the 3 years of his college time association with Shaeed Captain Sanjay Arya. He said that Sanjay Arya was a very gentle and noble person and a great patriot.
