YSS- Cup 2021 : Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball, kho kho competitions held across 4 zones

KISHTWAR, Dec 19: Raging inter Panchayat level competitions in Cricket, Kabaddi, volleyball & kho kho were today held across 4 zones of Marwah, Drabshalla, Kishtwar & Nagseni under the aegis of ongoing YSS- Cup 2021. The tournament is being held under the guidance of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K UT, Gazenfer Ali. The matches of cricket, kho-kho and Kabaddi were played at zone Marwah, Drabshalla, Kishtwar & Nagseni under the vigil of I/c ZPEOs Om Parkash, Suresh Parihar, Kailash Kumar,Ravi Kumar and block incharges Vijay Kumar, Zorawer Singh ,Arshad Amin. The venues for the matches have been set in 4 zones as per the direction of DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma by providing all necessary equipments. At block Palmar under Zone Nagseni the function was inaugurated by DDC councillor Upper Palmar Tahir Masood along with Shazada Begum Sarpanch and Naib Sarpench Touseef Ahmed.
At Block Bunjwah under Zone Drabshalla, youth welcomed the chief guest Sumiya Zarger, Sarpanch Panchayat Path Binoon and matches were started soon after the chief guest tossed the coin up for inaugural match of Kho Kho.
Zone Marwah, one of the most far flung area of District Kishtwar, witnessed volleyball and cricket matches, which were inaugurated by the Chief Guest BDC Chairman, Block Dachhan Satish Kumar.
At block Trigam under Zone Kishtwar, the chief guest, DDC member Om Parkash along with Sarpanch Baldev Singh and Sudesh Rana inaugurated the event.
The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the sports department for the initiative and said that this platform will provide youth an opportunity to showcase their talent and winners would be selected for higher competitions.
BDC chairman of block Marwah thanked DYSSO Kishtwar for his full support, efforts & engaging proficient sports teachers by which holding of sports events in far flung areas became possible.
