Azad seconds view of BJP leaders about Maharaja rule being better | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 25: Former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad by stating that Maharaja’s rule was much better than the present regime has endorsed the view of local BJP workers and the leaders. The BJP leaders in Jammu and Kashmir regions have staged protests against bureaucrats not being accessible and paying no attention towards their demands. In fact a few leaders have gone on record to say that “they were not being heard,” and their suggestions were being ignored. When the 179-year old Darbar Move practice was scrapped by the present regime, the BJP leaders had claimed that they were not taken on board and the decision was taken unilaterally. Despite facing stiff opposition from Jammu people for setting up of toll posts on the National Highway, the local BJP leaders couldn’t do much as the bureaucrats didn’t pay any attention to them. One of the senior BJP leaders from Jammu went on record to say that his party has got nothing to do with the government and its being run by bureaucrats. Not only Azad, many BJP leaders have said that the Maharajas were better than the present set of rulers in J&K. |
