Dali Udhyanpur embarks on path of becoming Milk Village with165 Dairy units

DODA, Dec 25: A sleepy town of Doda district- Dali Udhyanpur has embarked on the path of becoming a thriving Milk Village with 165 Dairy units sanctioned under the flagship Integrated Dairy Development Scheme which aims at increasing milk supplies in project areas by enhancing milk production, facilitating its marketing through integration of activities and to generate self employment under Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.
Prompt action by Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, Dr. D Sagar Doifode towards sanctioning 165 Dairy Units this week with Rs. 387 lakh subsidy has paved the way for turning Dali Udyanpur into a Milk Village .
The field functionaries held several rounds of interactions with the PRIs and Public under the guidance of Nodal Officer, Dr Shahid Latief and motivated them for such a big venture.
The BDC Chairman Dalli Udyanpur Shabir Ahmed was the main motivating force behind the department.
Despite many hindrances the department motivated the rural population which was an uphill task. The efforts of department and team in cooperation with PRIs borne the results and in just one week all formalities were collected and 165 cases were sponsored and submitted for sanction, which has been accorded. Out of 165 Diary Units sanctioned 03 Cases are for 50 cows each.
As per the Animal Husbandry Department experts, the program will have a long lasting effect on the local economy and facilitate self employment for more than 150 families and open job opportunities for 300 workers. Many people are also coming forth to invest in milk processing and making of milk products.
