Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 27: Jindrah Panchayat Halqa has constituted two important committees-Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, and Social Audit Committee-to ensure that quality development works are executed in the most transparent manner in the Panchayat.
The Committees have been constituted by Sarpanch of Panchayat, Anil Sharma, who is the president of All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), in consultation with all other Panchayat members.
Som Dutt Sharma has been elected as chairman of Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, while Rameshwar Singh has been appointed as chairman of Social Audit Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Sharma said that every committee will have seven members each to keep a close watch on all ongoing and upcoming development works in the Panchayat.
"These committees will act as watchdog and ensure that there is no compromise with the quality in any development work of the Panchayat. In case they find any discrepancy or shoddy work, these panels will submit their reports to the Panchayat for further action," Sharma said.
The AJKPC chief said these committees will also guide the Panchayat for executing its function in a better and coordinated manner.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Mohan Lal Verma, Haji Rafiq, Haji Bashir, Onkar Singh, Som Dutt, Dr Sunil Sharma, Keemat Raj, Brij Mohan, Rameshwar Singh, Dewan Chand, Deepak Kumar, Sardar Ali and several others.
