| Arrangements for R-Day celebrations finalised in Rajouri | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Dec 27: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalise the arrangements for the smooth and successful celebration of Republic Day 2022 in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included SSP, Mohd Aslam; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; SE PDD, DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; representatives from Army and District Officers.
Threadbare discussion on several points including decoration of the main venue ground, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water/tanker service, barricading of venue, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders, transportation facilities, invitations, cleanliness and sanitation measures were held in the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the day would start with the playing of Shehnai Vadan by the Information Department and the main function shall be held at the District Police Line Rajouri where the National flag would be unfurled by the Chief Guest followed by a parade comprising the contingents from J&K Police, CRPF, other paramilitary forces, NCC cadets and school children and other proceedings of the National day as per the past practises and similar programmes shall be organised in other subdivisions of the district.
The DC directed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate security arrangements, parking facilities and proper seating arrangements besides ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply, Medicare facilities and cleanliness at the venue.
The DC stressed upon the departments to maintain close synergy while making the arrangements. |
