ABVP passes resolution on resumption of offline studies | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 30: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's (ABVP's) 67th National Conference witnessed 655 delegates and 70763 students through 2168 screens attended the conference virtually which was conducted on 24-26 December in Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh. This was informed by ABVP Jammu Kashmir State Secretary Mukesh Manhas while addressing a press conference here today at Vidyarthi Bhawan, Ambphalla. Mukesh Manhas said in the 67th National Conference, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad passed four resolutions on the subjects related to education and youth empowerment as well as subjects of national importance. Under the first resolution passed by the ABVP at the 67th National Conference, ABVP has demanded the Union and state governments to resume offline studies in schools, colleges and universities due to the falling standard of education during online teaching. Under the second resolution titled 'Present scenario' passed in the national convention, Our country is moving towards population explosion. Population Control Act and Uniform Civil Code is the need of the hour, the government should be taken early steps regarding them. Under the third proposal titled 'Sports has to become priority in campus activities ' ABVP demands the sports budget should be increased to encourage sports. Government and private industries should allocate 5% of CSR to sports. ABVP, under its final proposal titled ' Tribal pride day celebration is honouring the dedication of tribal society '. ABVP welcomes the announcement of Prime Minister of the country to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as "Tribal Pride Day" across the country. Others who were present in the press conference are Ramnik Sharma State Joint Secretary, Akshi Billowaria National Executive Member and Chahat Anand Jammu Mahanagar Secretary. |
