Patwari allegedly takes Rs 72000 as bribe to mutate 4 marlas of land | Conceals revenue record, suspended, FIR lodged | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 30: A patwari has allegedly took Rs 72000 bribe for the mutation of 4 Marlas of land in this frontier district. According to Dilbagh Singh a social activist, the accused patwari, who was deputed at Dhannitar halqa of Rajouri tehsil allegedly took Rs 48,000/ as first installment as bribe for the mutation of a piece of four marlas of land by a citizen three months ago, then again directed him to pay Rs 20,000/ to a person deputed in Rajouri court and 4000/ to another by saying this person will mutate his land online. According to the sources the patwari was transferred by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri vide his order number DCR/2021-22/Estt 1156-83 on 24th of November who despite joining his other place of posting has concealed revenue record and absconded . In another order vide number DCR/2021-22/PA/594-99 dated 01/12/2021 Deputy Commissioner Rajouri suspended him and Tehsildar concerned was directed to ensure to complete revenue record. When the said patwari didn’t provide record to higher authorities concerned authorities lodged a complaint against him at police station Rajouri vide FIR number 736 under section 379 on 14th of December. The victim who was looted by this patwari has appealed to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and Divisional Commissioner Jammu to help him. He wants his money back and is demanding strict action against him at earliest, the social activist said. When contacted Tehsildar Rajouri said that after transfers of Patwaris one Patwari managed stay. The required measure will be taken to fill up the vacancy. |
