JAMMU, Dec 30: The Regional Ayurvedic Research Institute (RARI) at Rajinder Nagar, Bantalab, Jammu functioning under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India organized ‘Ayurveda Food Festival’ today celebrating ‘Ayurveda Day’ under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM)’. During, the event, various food preparation having nutritional value and medicinal properties as per Ayurveda have been displayed by about 20 participants coming from different places of Jammu and nearby districts. Free distribution of Prophylactic Ayurvedic immune-boosters/ medicines (Ashwandha Churna/ Samsamni Vati) and guidelines on Diet & Lifestyle in general public focusing to geriatric healthcare have also been done. Exhibition of books & literature on Ayurveda and Medicinal plants organized. The event was inaugurated by Om Prakash Sharma, PCCF (Ret) in the presence of Dr Gopesh Sharma, Incharge RARI, Jammu; Prof Vijay Chandan, Dr Abhishek Sharma, Samvedna Sharma, Dipu Pandita, Adv Kuldeep Sharma and Jugal Kishore Gupta. |
