Y V Sharma condemns communal Kashmir politicians
1/2/2022 10:14:39 PM

EARly Times Report

Jammu, Jan 2: Y.V Sharma, BJP spokesperson, Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir, has taken strong exception to statements made by some Kashmir-based politicians after the recent real estate summit held in Jammu. Mr Sharma termed these statements as irresponsible, unfounded, highly communal, provocative and anti development.
Reacting very strongly against these statements, Mr Sharma remarked that these leaders had ruled the state for a long time and were even a part of the Union government at one time. They were dazed by the quick pace of development under the BJP government at the Centre and the appreciable work done in the J&K UT by the alert, responsive and pro-active administration under Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha.
The LG’s government has been successful in bringing about a sea change in the tone and tenor of governance with the full support and co-operation of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, The Kashmir politicians are witnessing positive changes in the lives of common people. They know clearly that the common people are relieved because of termination of period of unrest, stone pelting, militancy, uncertainty and hopelessness. People realize now that they were taken for a ride for all these years and were befooled by raising extraneous issues and ignoring developmental issues. All this was done by powers that be deliberately to mislead the masses and foment trouble.
Leaders of different hues can see it quite clearly that the mass support for them is rapidly declining and their hold is slipping away. That is why they are indulging in a vain attempts to divide people in the name of religion, region, special status, local identity and what not.
Mr Sharma took due note of the misleading statements of such leaders alleging that the government is trying to ‘Hinduise’ the valley, it is trying to change the demography and the geographical boundaries, it has put the erstwhile state of J&K for sale and loot, it will give the land of the erstwhile state in the hands of the outsiders first in Jammu & then in the valley and so on. He remarked that all false allegations are diabolical creation and a figment of imagination. It was a product of the feverish mentality of these frustrated politicians who want to perpetuate their political hegemony by creating a rift in the minds of the people who have been living together for centuries.
These politicians want that no Indians from other parts of the country can have rights of buying land, getting employment, setting business or industry in J&K. Yet, people from J&K should have all these rights in an unhindered manner all over the country. How is their argument fair is beyond comprehension, Mr Sharma remarked. It is a fairly common practice and a matter of common knowledge that all countries invite foreign investment to set up schemes of development. Even the Indian government invites foreign investment for undertaking schemes of overall development for the upliftment of vast underdeveloped areas in the country. It was unfortunate that one particular Kashmiri leader went up to the extent of saying that they don’t want any entrepreneur even from India to invest in the UT of J&K. What kind of negative thinking and mindset is this, asked Mr. Sharma.
According to Mr Sharma, isolation and aloofness are the sure signs of underdevelopment, poverty, disease and drudgery. When the whole world is turning into a global village, every political leader worth the name must change his or her mindset. The leaders should not think about their own homes only but should have a broad vision of the betterment of the U.T and of the whole country of which all of us are the common citizens, irrespective of any other consideration.
Sharma appealed to one and all to reject such communal leaders having vested interests outright and think of the welfare of all the citizens of the UT and the country. Instead, they should follow great Indian leaders wanted that everyone should be happy and comfortable, everybody should be healthy and free from disease, everyone should enjoy good things in life and nobody should suffer from any troubles whatsoever.
