BJP’s helpline assisting Katra tragedy victims 24X7: Kavinder
1/2/2022 10:32:07 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, Jan 2: Looking into the gravity of the situation arising out of Katra Stampede, BJP has set-up a 24X7 helpline to provide timely help to the people in distress as many of the injured and their relatives are from far off states and are finding it difficult to cope up the situation and the harsh weather.
This was stated by the senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta, who had received a phone call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning to enquire about the ground situation at the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi and asked him to take all possible steps to render help to those hit by the tragedy.
“The two numbers issued in this regard are 9469700000 and 9906238046. The BJP helpline numbers can be contacted for any kind of assistance including healthcare, food, boarding, lodging, etc”, he said adding that the local BJP cadre is also on job to provide on the spot help to victims of the tragedy that struck Bhawan of Mata Vaishno Devi early on Saturday morning due to unprecedented rush of devotees who reached the shrine to pay the obeisance on the first day of the year 2022.
Kavinder said that BJP will leave no stone unturned to ensure full-fledged help to the injured persons and their relatives. He however asked the locals at Jammu and Katra to inform the party helpline about any of the persons who need help and are feeling dejected due to the tragedy. He said that BJP has ensured a mechanism to provide help to the victims on ‘as is where is’ basis and there is no need to come to BJP office or anywhere else because the assistance will reach the spot where the people in distress are stationed.
The senior BJP leader said that during the second wave of coronavirus also, the BJP cadre has acted impeccably to provide succor to the corona affected and whosoever called the BJP leadership was provided with the required help at his or her doorsteps. The BJP is not only a political party but it is a movement for the people and therefore it will continue to show its presence as and when it will be required”, he added.
