| Panchayat Jamola Lower bags Second Position in National Water Awards 2020 | | |  Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jan 10: Panchayat Jamola Lower of Block Budhal, District Rajouri has bagged 2nd position in Best panchayat category under 3rd National Water Awards 2020.
The awards were announced by Ministry of Jal Shakti on 7 january 2022. Panchayat Jamola Lower was Awarded for its best performance in water management/ water conservative.
Sarpanch jamola lower Akis Naseer along with his team have made all possible efforts for his panchayat to implement new techniques for water conservation.
A central team comprising Ravi Ranjan Director and Rakesh Gupta Deputy Director from Central Water Commission Jammu visited the area for Ground Truth verification.
It is pertinent to mention that Panchayat Jamola Lower under the Sarpanch Akis Naseer has also been awarded National Child Friendly Award 2020.
Akis Naseer has also worked as National Youth Volunteer in Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri and is also currently the president of Jamola Nehru Youth Club affiliated with Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri. |
