| Jammu a Smart City? After rains, Digital Road wears off, commuters suffer | | |

Jammu, Jan 10: The Digital Road that connects Baghe- Bahu and Bahu Fort with the Jammu city has caved in at many places due to the recent rainfall in Jammu. The road has developed big potholes leading to traffic snarls in the area.
The Digital Road caving in has put a question mark on the tall claims of the government about Jammu being a Smart City.
“My vehicle plunged into one of the potholes which led to its suspension getting damaged.
Is this the Smart City you are talking about? Everyday hundreds of tourists visit Baghe-Bahu and travel through this road. Is this J&K Government has to offer them,” said a commuter.
“The road needs immediate repairs. Traffic jams are causing lot of inconvenience to people. The authorities that are claiming that Jammu is a Smart City need to wake up from slumber and address the ground situation,” the commuters added. |
