Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 10: Jammu has recently become an inviting hub for the cultural pursuits as many intra and inter entrepreneurs as well as professionals are trying to unfurl the latent potential here . In this regard, recently a group of filmmakers, who have recently made a thriller Gangwar 84, have come to Jammu with a flourishing proposal for the UT of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh also with many exciting offers that can buoy the cultural matrix of the UT. Rajesh Raja, the director of the film Gangwar 84, and the son of soil who presently is in Punjab has come with the team of his people with a vision entitled, 'Jammu and Kashmir Motion Pictures' and has asked all the people related to film making to join the bandwagon on the regional front to make some good Dogri, Kashmiri, Pahari, Ladakhi and other films. "We need to engage our people in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to come to support JKMP and give their valuable insights as well as suggestions to flourish the regional cinema. Jammu and Kashmir owns an expanse of various landscapes for perfect cinema production and people need to join hands to make it flourish," said Rajesh Raja addressing a gathering of local film directors, producers, scriptwriters and cinematographers at 360 KC Theatre. JKMP has come with a main agenda to establish the J & K motion picture association which includes Film City of Jammu, regional film fare awards in Jammu and J&K film awards. Besides, the JKMPA has also announced plans to hold a film festival in the ensuing year and are set to invite entries from the local filmmakers. Rajesh Raja, Proshotam (producer of Gangwar 84) and Gangwar 84 team members took the presidium while Madan Rangila, Janak Khajuria , Neelam Phull, Bikram Jit Singh , Baljit Singh Raina, Vikram Sharma, Aditya Bhanu, Rajesh Narang and Tarun Sharma attended the meet Next meeting will be announced shortly in which film makers of J&K UT, Ladakh and other states will be invited. |
