Workshop "Suposhit Bharat" begins at GGM Science College

JAMMU, Jan 10: NSS units Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College organized a two-day long workshop "Suposhit Bharat" under the patronage of Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan as a part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav under the Poshan Abhiyan.
The theme is to mobilize the sustained community participation for health and nutritional issues in the country. NSS volunteers made posters spreading message to the children the importance of growth monitoring. The focus on improving nutritional status of children, generating emotional connect between health and nutrition. NSS volunteers Sunandini, Jatin, Prerna, Rimjhim, Aman, Palvinder, Jagmeet, Mohd Ali, Sia, Ajinka, Aaghav, Archita, Rimjhim and Isha made posters and slogans on the importance of balanced nutritious diet.
Sunandini, Prerna, Jatin and Rimjhim interacted with children and adults to make it Jan Bhagedari. To strengthen the immunity and to cultivate healthy habits by involving the community around can only lead to Healthy India particularly in times of pandemic; NSS PO stated. A balanced diet supplies the nutrients your body needs to work effectively. Without balanced nutrition, your body is more prone to disease, infection, fatigue, and low performance. Children who don't get enough healthy foods may face growth and developmental problems, poor academic performance, and frequent infections. Unlock your potential with good nutrition.
