Sikh leader Wazir hails central government for declaring Dec 26 as VEER BAL DIWAS | | | JAMMU, Jan 11: Welcoming the central government’s decision of dedicating December 26th as VEER BAL DIWAS on the name of Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh, Sikh leader Wazir said that government’s decision is a token of respect towards the martyrdom of Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh. Wazir said that sacrifices of Sikh Gurus, Sikh warriors and Sikh freedom fighters should be made part of NCERT curriculum so that every child in this country could be made aware of the rich Sikh history and take inspiration from the deeds of great Sikh Gurus and warriors and the sacrifices of Gurus and their families and others who believed in the philosophy and Khalsa. He said that Sikhism should be made a part of the syllabi in the primary schools so that the real and original values of Khalsa Panth and Sikhism become the part of their daily life of the young generations. |
