1/11/2022 11:07:37 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 11: All J&K1947 POJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (SIF) called an emergency meeting of its core committee members under the chairmanship of Adv Amrik Singh. Secretary of the Forum, Surjit Singh also joined the meeting.
The Forum expressed its gratitude over the announcement made by PM Narendra Modi to observe as 26th December as 'Veer Bal Divas' in the sweet memory of four Sahebzades of Sri Guru Gobind Singh keeping in view their martyrdom and great sacrifices done for the sake of country and who fought against cruelty and forcible conversion of Hindus to Islam.
The Forum further elaborated that Sikhism is based on patriotism. They never compromised with anti-national elements. The Forum said that in the reign of Congress regime for the past 60 years nothing was done in this regard even in the long tenure of Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister.
This type of announcement shows broadmindedness and intelligence of Modi, who has great regard for Sikhism as well as sacrifices of our Gurus.
The Forum also made an appeal to the Jathedar Shri Akal Takhat Sahib to give their proposal to the Prime Minister with regard to change of name as 'Veer Bal Divas' so that the matter may be solved amicably.
The core committee members strongly condemned the act of Punjab Chief Minister with regard to security lapses during Prime Minister's Punjab visit.
The meeting was attended by Inder Singh Councillor, Paramjit Singh ex-Councillor, Sucha Singh Councillor, Kuldeep Singh, Avtar Singh president Gurdwara Digiana Camp and others.
