DDC chairperson Ramban reviews status of Area Development Fund works, post snowfall situation

RAMBAN, Jan 11: District Development Council, Ramban today met under the chairmanship of its Chairperson Dr. Shamshad Shan to review progress on works sanctioned and taken-up under Capex Budget 2021-22 besides discussing the modalities for formulating Development Plan for the year 2022-23.
Project and plan wise review of different sector works including Rural Development Department, PMGSY, PWD and Jal Shakti, Education and Sports was held in detail.
BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councilors, Additional district Development Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineer R&B, PMGSY, Jal Shakti, CMO and other concerned Engineers and Officers were present in the meeting.
It was informed that against 317 works proposed under DDC Area Development Plan, work has been started on 241 works. The Chairperson directed the concerned departments to complete the remaining works well in time.
The meeting discussed the status of physical and financial progress of each work in detail. The BDC Chairpersons and the DDC Councilors inquired about the status of works being executed in their areas by different departments.
The Chairperson also shared the information and guidelines with all the stakeholders regarding formulation of Capex Budget for 2022-23. She asked them to start formulation of development Plans for their respective areas under their Area Development Fund.
She further inquired about the action plan formulated by the executing agencies to complete the taken-up works under Area Development Fund.
Earlier, DDC Chairperson also reviewed post snowfall situation and progress on restoration of essential services and supplies.
While taking the reports of restoration works form concerned officers, the ADDC urged the BDC Chairpersons and DDC Councilors to inform the Administration if road clearance operation is not taken up on any road.
The ADDC passed necessary directions to officers to ensure execution of works taken-up under ADF to achieve the targets of their respective departments.
