Govt wants all to become sadhus: JBA Prez
2/6/2022 11:42:22 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 6: Jammu Bar Association (JBA) has expressed dismay over the functioning of J&K administration and has accused it of betraying the people of Jammu region.
Talking to a local news channel, JBA president said, “When J&K was reorganized, Jammu people welcomed the move. They were hoping that it would open a plethora of opportunities for them. But nothing of that sort has happened. After August 5, 2019, all the sectors have failed and people of Jammu have been pushed to the wall. From businessmen to job aspirants everyone is suffering. More than 80% industries in Jammu are closed and the land which was allotted to entrepreneurs by SIDCO and SICOP is being taken back as they have been unable to start their units.”
He said, “The present dispensation being run by the bure

ucrats has proved to be an utter failure. In erstwhile regimes, political leaders of Jammu used to create job opportunities for the people but in this government nothing is being done for the people.”
The President JBA said, “All the institutions, including that of lawyers, have been hit hard during the past two years. On August 5, 2019, two Union Territories were created: J & K and Ladakh. People in Ladakh have got everything. No outsider is eligible for a job there but in J&K anyone can get a job.”
He said, “The present dispensation has been unable to carry forward the good work which was done by the previous regimes and it appears that the government wants all of us to become hermits. They need to focus on development rather than other issues. It appears they want all of us to become sadhus.”
