Jammu, Feb 9:Kashmiri Pandit employees who have been appointed under PM's employment package are bound to serve in the valley as per the laid norms was stated by the social activist Sunil Pandita while addressing a meeting of community members at Jagti near here today. Lambasting the influentials who are trying to bring back their kith to Jammu on attachment basis for lame excuses and draw their salary from valley should desist from such unwanted practices as there are nearly 4500 employees working there under the same package who have gone there from Jammu leaving their families alone here he added. It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of India had initiated a programme for Kashmiri Pandit migrant unemployed youth to provide them jobs under special package which was announced by then Prime Minister, while inaugurating a historical bridge over river Chenab in way back on October 8,2008 during his visit to Jammu. Sunil said under this employment policy Kashmiri Pandit migrants are bound to work in valley under all circumstances for being a non transferable job adding , it is to brought in the notice of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory administration that any such move by influential persons to bring their kith and kin back to Jammu on lame excuses by using their power and position will be a wrong practice and it will have an adverse effect on the morale of other employees who despite all odds are serving there in the valley. |
