JAMMU, Feb 11: Hours after mysterious explosion created panic among people on Friday evening, Jammu Police has clarified that the blast is possibly due to an inflammable material that caused the sound.
"In Sanjay Nagar area, some sparks erupted from a power transformer due to which some garbage lying beneath it caught fire," Chandan Kohli, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu said in a statement issued. He said that in fire flames, something exploded which is possibly any inflammable material causing sound.
"People are requested not to pay heed to rumours and police team are on site for further examination," said the top cop. |
