| ACB arrests Junior Engineer for accepting bribe in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Feb 15: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Jammu and Kashmir arrested a Junior Engineer of Rural Development Department of Tregham accepting bribe for preparing bills against the work executed under MGNREGA.
ACB received a complaint alleging that a Junior Engineer of Rural Development Department, Ghulam Hassan of Block Treghgam in Kupwara district is demanding a bribe of Rs 8000 for preparing Bill for the work executed by complainant under MGNREGA, a statement said.
The complainant alleged that the accused Junior Engineer was adopting delaying tactics and not preparing bills for the work executed at village Kunanposhpura.
The statement of ACB said a trap team was constituted and the accused junior engineer was arrested red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8000/- from the complainant.
He said a case was registered at Police Station ACB Baramulla in this regard. |
