| After laying foundation stone, Govt forgets DC office complex in Jammu | | Land turns into garbage dumping ground, parking space | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 15: Jammu and Kashmir administration in run up to boost its development claims laid many foundation stones across length and breadth of J&K. The foundation stones were laid and then forgotten.
On March 3, 2019, the then J&K Chief Secretary B V R Subramanyam along with other top officials had laid the foundation stone to build the office complex of Deputy Commissioner Jammu near Asia Hotel in the heart of the city.
More than two years have elapsed since this stone was laid but till date no work has started on the complex. The land which was identified for building the DC office complex has turned into a parking space and garbage dumping ground. The government seems to have forgotten a project that was to be built in the city, one can imagine what would have happened to the development projects for which the foundation stones were laid in the rural areas. |
