GAD pulls-up babus for keeping APRs pending | ‘Clear pendency in 3-days or face disciplinary action’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 11: The General Administration Department (GAD) on Friday reprimanded the babus for failing to finalize the Annual Performance Reports (APRs) and set the 3-day deadline for the same. According to the details available with Early Times there are 32 files pending at Initiating level, 76 are lying with reviewing officers and 234 are in the offices of accepting authority i.e. the highest level. The GAD had extended the deadline for filing the APRs many times during the past few months, but the officials haven’t acted despite being provided ample opportunities. On Friday, GAD issued a circular directing all the concerned to complete APR pendency within three days, failing which disciplinary action would be initiated against them. An analyst said, “On one hand J&K Government is claiming that the entire system has been turned online and offices have become e-offices. But these claims are confined to papers only and the APRs remaining pending is ample proof of it.” |
