Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 25: Shiv Sena, J&K unit today staged protest against the Modi government over the 'highest-ever' inflation. Led by Manish Sahni, Shiv Sena J&K President, the party activists assembled in front of Maharaja Hari Singh statue on Tawi Bridge, displaying placards "Hungry days waiting for good days", "Inflation stops during elections" regarding uncontrollable and stinging inflation. Talking to reporters, Sahni said that in this era of economic slowdown, when the income of the common people has come down drastically, while inflation is increasing at a triple and quadruple pace. Due to which nutritious food is disappearing from the plate of every family during the pandemic. "The BJP led government has miserably failed to check the rising inflation and soaring fuel prices which has broken the backbone of the common man," Sahni said, adding that the prices of edible oil have more than doubled in two years, while the rising prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas are affecting every commodity. The prices of daily use items are also skyrocketing. Sahni said that Shiv Sena will continue its agitation and sharpen its edge every day till the Modi government brings relief to the common man. |
