Govt Primary School 13 Drum Rajouri found locked, students suffer | School run by two teachers were absent due to separate reasons | | ANKIT KESSAR Early Times Report RAJOURI, Mar 25: Government Primary School 13 Drum zone Manjakote of district Rajouri, which was found locked due to absence of teachers which has jeopardised the future of students. Sources informed that the school which has UDISE:-01120102112, running in three rooms was found locked and students were also not present. On being inquired about the teachers, it came to know that one teacher is on leave due to the death of a family member while another teacher was attending an official meeting. The locals alleged that study of the students is being compromised due to mismanagement of the school department. School has been playing with the future of students. "The condition of the school building is very bad. There is no provision of cleanliness. Rooms are full of dust and it looks like that these rooms have never been cleaned. Already the condition of schools as well as the study in remote villages is not up to the mark and now this school which has two teachers for fifteen students is not different from others, they said. Even the mandatory National Flag was not hoisted on the school building, which is the duty of the concerned to ensure about this guideline but the same was ignored which clearly shows the non seriousness of the teachers appointed in the school. When ZEO Majakote was contacted, he could not be contacted while another officer informed that one of the teachers had come to attend the meeting. Meanwhile CEO Rajouri said that inquiry will be conducted in this case so that the study of students should not be compromised. |
