Srinagar, Mar 26: Consumers in Kashmir have alleged that there is a big scam involved in Ujjwala Scheme.
An old man, Ghulam Mohammad War, told reporters that he was asked to fill up the form for gas connection but instead a connection subsidy came into his account despite him having no LPG connection. “I was asked to fill up the form on my name and the names of my wife and my daughter-in-law but no connection was provided.
When they started receiving subsidies in their accounts we approached the concerned dealer and informed him about us not having any connections but no one listened to us. Till date we haven’t received a LPG connection,” War said, adding, “I want a connection not subsidy.” |
