Shivsena warns private schools to focus on education | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 5: Shivsena Jammu and Kashmir unit has warned private schools to immediately put an end to unnecessary restrictions on religion and culture instead of focusing of quality education. A team of party leaders led by party state president Manish Sahni today visited a one of the private school located in Sainik Colony, Jammu and met the school administration and suggested them to stop unnecessary obstruction., had a deep conversation on the dispute with a Sikh girl student last day and advised to stay away from unnecessary restraints and disputes. Sahni said that the school had objected to a Sikh girl wearing a dastar and a kada, kirpan. Taking strong cognizance of this, we have expressed our regret for such unfair and impractical restrictions from this schools. Later Shivsena leaders visited the residence of the said Sikh girl and met her and family members and assured them that their religious sentiments would not be Shiv Sainiks assured that in future anyone who hurt his religious sentiments would not be spared. Sahni once again warns all private schools to focus on education instead of spoiling the sociality, religiosity and goodwill of Jammu and Kashmir. Sahni said that some private schools are trying to attack our culture even in the name of Uniform Code which will not be tolerated at all. Sahni appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir administration to take a strong stand against the private schools which incite religious sentiments and stigmatize the culture of Jammu and Kashmir. Meenakshi Chhibber, Binny Mahajan, Raj Singh, Sanjeev Sudan were present on this occasion. |
