ICC recommends one neutral umpire for Tests | | | agencies NEW DELHI, Apr 10: Neutral umpires will be back in international cricket since the Covid-19 pandemic started in March 2020. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to work on a hybrid model to encourage more local umpires. This could mean that the bilateral Tests may have one neutral umpire and one local umpire. A call on the number of the DRS reviews will be taken at the next cricket committee's meeting. ICC had increased the number of DRS reviews to three from two after the pandemic hit. |
